An extensive area spanning 10 hectares – roughly the size of 19 football pitches – is being used to create a sustainable energy source.

The aim of the €8 million solar project is to generate sustainable energy on a large scale.
Choosing the right solar mounting systems played a key role in this. KÖNIG has made a significant contribution to this project by providing high-quality solar mounting systems: Around 20,000 modules and 271 tables, weighing a total of 320 tonnes of steel, will transform an idyllic meadow landscape into a powerful energy supplier that will meet the electricity needs of around 3,500 families.

This solar project is an excellent example of the regional energy transition. As well as providing clean electricity, the extensification of the meadows will provide a valuable habitat for insects and birds, and sheep grazing will be used to maintain the area.

Through the “Oberes Mühlbachtal” energy co-operative, the local authorities, associated municipalities and citizens are involved in the construction and subsequent revenue.

Each solar park construction site places specific demands on the mounting system due to static load, topography or ground conditions. The two-support system for PV ground-mounted systems from KÖNIG SOLAR is equally suitable for both horizontal and vertical module alignment
and its dimensions are tailored to the particular project.

The design is intended to bring as little material as necessary to the installation site in order to optimise logistics and handling.
A small number of parts, the use of identical parts and the key-lock principle all reduce the risk of errors.
Thus, individual parts cannot be assembled “the wrong way round”.

Development and production of profiles for drywall construction, industry and photovoltaics

We have been manufacturing metal profiles for modern interior construction for over 50 years. In addition, we develop and produce customised special profiles for industry.

Our main focus is the cold forming of slit strips. Thanks to our modern machinery, we can produce virtually any profile geometry, and we can do it fast! As a flexible company, efficient customer solutions are our top priority.

Special profiles are individual steel profiles for a wide range of applications. From planning to production, they constitute custom-fit solutions. KÖNIG is a system supplier to many industries, such as mechanical engineering, renewable energies, agricultural technology, sanitary, heating and air-conditioning technology, transport, module and shelf construction, the furniture industry and lots more.
